At S.A.M.E Academy, we deliver road safety education across all age groups — from primary aged pupils beginning independent journeys to post-16 students preparing to drive.
This page focuses on our programmes for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners, delivered primarily in secondary schools through workshops, assemblies, PSHE sessions, themed weeks, and drop-down days.
Young people aged 11–16 face increasing risks as they gain independence, navigate busy environments on journeys, use public transport, rely on phones, and spend more time travelling without adult supervision. Our KS3 & KS4 workshops and presentations help students build the awareness, attitudes, and confidence they need to stay safe as pedestrians, cyclists, passengers, and future drivers.
Our workshops and presentations help students explore:
→ Main causes of collisionsinvolving young people ←
→ Pedestrian safety and journey planning ←
→ Distractions— phones, headphones, social influence, group travel ←
→ Safe behaviour around public transport ←
→ Passenger responsibility ←
→ Peer pressure and group travel ←
→ Risk awareness and decision-making ←
For KS4 learners, we additionally address:
→ Emerging responsibilities as futureyoung drivers and passengers ←
→ How attitudes now influence later driving behaviour ←
→ The transition from pedestrian to passenger mindsets ←
→ Scenario challenges on the road ←
All sessions are age-appropriate, engaging, and designed to encourage students to reflect on their habits and choices.
We offer a range of delivery formats to suit busy school schedules:
→ 1-hour interactive sessions
→ Group activities, scenarios, discussion, and short video content
→ Ideal for drop-down days, targeted groups, or themed weeks
→ High-impact delivery suitable for full year groups
→ Perfect for assemblies, PSHE days, and large events
All sessions can be delivered:
→ In person
→Online
→ Internationally, including the Middle East
We adapt every session to your context — urban, rural, or international — ensuring it is relevant and impactful for your students.
Students aged 11–16 are developing independence at the same time they are exposed to:
→ Busy roads and new routes ←
→ Increased phone and social media usage ←
→ Peer influence and group travel behaviour ←
→ Early experiences as passengers ←
Our sessions help students:
→ Understand how everyday decisions affect their safety ←
→ Recognise high-risk situations before they escalate ←
→Build confidence to travel safely alone or with friends ←
→ Develop habits that will support them when they become new drivers in later years ←
By fostering a culture of safety early, we equip young people with the awareness they need now — and the foundations for safer motoring in the future.
We work with schools, businesses, colleges & governments internationally to deliver high-quality, impactful road safety education, driving awareness, and driver training. For more information or to book, please email us at hello@same.academy
